Victoria Seraphina at The Con Club

Timperley based designer, Victoria Clegg was due to speak at the October meeting of the The Creative Network last month. Unfortunately, Victoria had a nasty road accident on the way to the venue and ended up in hospital! The good news is that she is now recovering and planning to speak about her new luxury loungewear brand, Victoria Seraphina, at The Con Club in Altrincham at 7pm on Monday the 11^th December.

Victoria will describe the development of her brand from original concept to its launch in September. It has required Victoria to tackle a steep learning curve, gaining skills in marketing, accounts, IT and dealing with suppliers.

For Victoria, , the design and creation of the garments is the easy bit. However, the work is labour intensive as Victoria creates her own patterns and hand sews every piece. For example, her signature satin robe requires seven metres of fabric and 15 hours to make.

Victoria's passion for the golden era of Hollywood is reflected in the vintage elegance and sumptuous fabrics of her robes, separates, lingerie and bridal wear.  Elle Magazine recognised the beauty of her garments and featured them in December 2016 - long before the collection was complete! The evening will also be an opportunity to see and perhaps try on some of these gorgeous creations.

Future plans include themed collections named ‘Gothic’, ‘Snow Queen’ and ‘New York’. Victoria’s new website https://victoriaseraphina.com/ contains more details of her work.
